5-1, Carrie

Meet Carrie.  She is an amazing hairstylist and a wonderful person.  Time spent with her, either at her studio or mine, is a little dose of zen that carries (no pun intended, really!) me through my day.  If she looks familiar, it is because I featured her with her husband on this blog back in the fall when I did an outdoor couple's session with them.  It was cute to see her face light up when she saw my duplicate studio sample of the wall art collection she has in her own home from that session.  I hope I've made her look and feel as good as she does me after I visit her studio!  Thanks, Carrie.  My turn next!

4-19, Denise

Lawyers seem to be my hot clients this month.  Literally, April = Lawyer headshot and Hot = they look good!  This is Denise.  She is an estate lawyer in Parker, Colorado.  One thing I've learned with these recent sessions is that my impression of straight-laced and buttoned up is not entirely accurate for these women in the legal profession.  Warm smiles and easy-going was the mood of this session, and that mood carried through in the resulting expressions of this smart and beautiful lady.  Glasses on or off, I think she looks fantastic with both looks.  I hope she thinks so, too!

4-9, Author, Lawyer, Business Advisor, Performance Coach....

Meet Kelly.  This classy lady cannot be described in one word.  She is an author, lawyer, business advisor and performance coach.  She has as many sides to her professional life as she does to her cheery disposition.  If I had to simplify a description of her it would be this:  a brilliant beauty.  We had such a fun studio session.  As an artist, I'm torn between sharing all those fun, quirky photos that led us to these final images and maintaining the professional image my clients seek.  Headshots are about putting your 'best face forward', so I have chosen to keep those humorous images offline.  But let me tell you, there were some adorable ones that capture the fun we shared during the session.    We laughed until we had tears in our eyes.  That, my friends, is what it's all about.

3-10, Right at Home

I recently joined a networking group:  The Networking Divas.  I had no idea when I initiated an interest in this group what an outpouring of interest in headshot photography that would initiate!  The last few weeks have been filled with consults, sessions and image reviews.  This individual, Janice, is part of the group and is as sweet as her smile.  Through her consult we discovered our shared loves of the Seattle area as well as the hierarchy of priorities in our lives (family first!).  I was right at home with her-- which is so very appropriate considering she is a realtor and she specializes in helping people feel this way day in and day out.  Thank you, Janice, for your time and business.  It was such a joy working with you!

3-6, The Daily Hostess Headshots

I say "headshot" and she said "confetti".   Hmmm....interesting, but why not?  This party girl had a vision in mind and I wanted to help her achieve it. Definitely fun and creative- right up this blogger's alley!  Check out Amy, The Daily Hostess, and her blog:  http://thedailyhostess.com/.  (By the way, Amy, thanks for helping clean up the studio after the confetti fun! lol.....)

1-27, Sweeten the Pot

Alright, folks, 7 days down and 4 days to go with the contest!  In case you missed last week's post, see the below link.  The comments section to that link is where you need to cast your vote for your favorite wall art collection.  The deadline is midnight, January 31.  Let's sweeten the pot a little bit.  As it stands now, the contest winner will choose between a $50 Starbucks or $50 AMC Movie Theater gift card.  Today, I'm adding an additional prize:  $25 off their next As Eye See It session fee.  Woo-hoo!  How's that for incentive to tell friends and family and get them to visit the blog and cast their vote?!  Hey, get total strangers to cast their vote, too- why not?!  The only rule that I insist upon is one vote per person.  Please do not go in and vote for yourself anonymously every day.  How wrong would that be, right?  On your honor here guys!  The wall art collection with the most votes in the comments of the original blog post (As Eye See It Contest LINK) wins.  Easy-peasy.  So, get out there and share this link!!  Good luck!
